I would like to formally thank Dan for helping me troubleshoot my Java difficulties. Thanks to his new Font-tracking functionality I was able to learn that Java was looking at an illegal font which didn't even appear in the Fonts directory (even though it WAS in there). ExocetHeavy is no longer with us friends, and yet his funeral was strangely absent of mourners. Or so I hear... as I was too busy making characters to actually attend.
Let me make this clear, by the way. Java wasn't trying to LOAD the font. It merely LOOKED at it. It looked at a bad font and said to itself "Screw this, I'm the HELL out of here." Java appears to have some characteristics in common with what we might call a "sissy!" For God's sake Java, stand up to those bad fonts or you'll never amount to anything.
Anyway, thanks Dan. You have a customer for life.
