Talisman Revised 4th Edition rule query

Can the Sorceress automatically take a follower and beguile a character regardless of what square they are on and then encounter the square or cards on it?

Update: I think this is overly annoying to the rest of the players (how many games end up with the sorceress having all the mules?) and making it "encounter" rather than "land on" would reduce this without significantly inconveniencing the sorceress.

Yes, but I posted in the "general" forum, where I found some posts about Talisman had already been discussed, and only then after thinking that the FFG web site was defunct due to my typo.
