Is HDv3 compatible with Windows Vista? I am looking at buying a new lappy that has Vista on it. As the primary purpose of the Lappy would be to run HD, this is kinda important

Yes, it is. You just need to have the latest version of the Java runtime installed. You also need to make sure that you install it to a directory that you have full control over, such as one in your user directory.

Or turn off UAC. That's what I did. But I'm using HD on Vista just fine.

Ah, the beauties of programming in Java... I could drool for hours....

Sorry, serious Java geek-out. ;)

The short of it is this: the beautiful thing about HD is that you can use it with *any* OS, provided you have an up-to-date Java Runtime Environment. Get the latest JRE at http://www.java.com/en.

I've recently converted to Java from VB, so I have the enthusiasm of a recent convert. ;)
