By default you have to design your team's base computer. Your a busy man but the other players are too lazy to do it. What type of computer do you make? Of course the option about the AI being female is optional as well.
See the Poll above. (This is also my first experiment at building a poll).;)

I voted for the love intrest, but only because I as the GM would love that as the mystery DISAD...

The one base computer I designed was an AI that was actually the ghost of my PC's sister.
The other AI I remember definitly had a love interest in the team leader.

My character is the team's mystic. One of the ideas I have had is building a ghost or a golem as an agent and having it fulfill the monitoring and security roles that a computer normally does.
One concession I have gotten from the team is allowing me to spend 5 points to make two bases, one for the team and one for me. I think I'll go with an extra dimensional location with many mystical security features act as my Sanctum Santorum and as a place to hide all that dangerous stuff I've picked up.
Currently under my bed in the current base I have stashed the following:
Excalibur: It was actually the ancient sword of the King of Atlantis (before the Pendragon's used it). The King of Atlantis was corrupted by something known as the "Gate-key" powers, he grew up to become Dr. Destroyer (and he's looking for the sword.)
A Power Sphere from ancient Atlantis. It seems to absorb ambient energy, magical energy, gate-key energy like a super END reserve. Dr. D would love to find this as well.
The Accoutrements of the Archmage, believed lost when Earth's last Supreme Archmage disappeared in a large explosion in Siberia in 1908 (Tunguska). Any evil magic-user in the multiverse would love to get their hands on these.
Anyway I'd better find a better place to hide all this stuff.

I just want one with a personality :) So AIs are for me. No need to have them in love with anyone or secretly working for the destruction of humanity. Give them a few quirks all their own, and they'll find their own way to keep things lively.
When your AI cancels your super hero's subscription to 'Uncaped' because he feels it's not good for the hero or his reputation, and is rude to female organics as well... you have some comedy in the making :)

I agree, but I do like the idea of a mystery disadvantage. It doesn't have to be in love or want to destroy, just something interesting.. A quirk if you will..

Make it a female AI with a romantic attachment to whoever it would bug the most.
Come on, doesn't Defender have enough women drooling over him? What's next, his armor? :)

I have to admit, I would be lasy.. Nice simple computer.. no bells and whistles.

I sat in on a Traveller game once where the AI was female and had a crush on the Chief engineer. She kept breaking things onboard so that he'd pay attention to her (Hell hath no fury...). The character ended up with a pathological fear of the color red (from all the red lights) to the point where he spent all night painting all of engineering (including the emergency lights) green and then looked down at his spotlessly clean shoes that you could see your refection in (he was also compulsively clean), noticed his eyes were bloodshot and proceeded to shove a can of green paint onto his head.
Man that was a cool game.

Until that freak computer glitch makes the thing develop a life of its own. :)

Hey Edsel, Dont forget that you also have to build in a recording studio in case you have someone like a musician join the group. SO you wil also need to add points to the AI so they can do all their mixing in the cozy confines of the base!!!:D

My team has an AI with an appreciation for a wicked practical joke, and a wry sense of humor. Couple this with a classic danger room that allows the contents of the danger room to . . . escape and you have a few terrifying moments. Of course, next time, Sabertooth just might be real, Sable.

I built an Ai for the Base of the Westguard.
It was programmed by a ex-Marine.
BAsicaly it had the "Kato" complex.
It took every opportunity to attack the PC's with stealth and guile. It defended it actions with Marine justification that it trained them to be alert Adapt, and overcome.
Players began asking to buy Dabger sense using the Ai as justification.

I voted for the female AI love interest. What if he was only attracted to other females or only to certain languages, BASIC, COBOL, C++ etc mabe an option to consider.
