I debated about which forum to post this in, but I suppose it will do.

TheEmerged, I just checked out your blogspace Hero stuff. Very impressive. I haven't finished reading all of it yet but I am curious as to your campaign setting.

I have been working for a while gathering maps and relevent geographical data for fleshing out my Cincinnati-based campaign world. Have you (or any other Cincinnatians reading this) done any work in this arena? As campaign cities go, Cincinnati is great. Big enough to hold a campaign but small enough to map. :p
It's small enough that if there is action at Northgate Mall, everyone is familiar with it and can get there in a matter of minutes. With Nova registration and enforcement such a touchy subject, it's great to have such a cumbersome and ineffective city council to write our own laws. We have a pedigree of racial tension (which is easily transferable to Nova-normal relations). The slow-moving city council would assure Cincinnati would be one of the last US cities to adopt whatever policies are in place in the rest of the country (world?).

Anyway, I would be happy to hear your thoughts. Again, kudos on your site. Smashing good read. I will ..er..reapply much of your hard work because that's just the kind of lazy bastard I am:D

I'm a local Cincinnatian, too...well, actually West Chester right now, but that's still local.

It had never occurred to me to base a campaign here. I mean, it always just seemed a little too small to have a full fledged superhero team of any sort. I suppose it could work, though, as long as you kept the size of the city in mind.

West Chester! I'd say that's pretty local. I'm in College Hill (Damn Westsiders!). I haven't been to the boards as much since I moved into a cube at work but I don't remember seeing your name before. Welcome.

Thanks.

Seeing as that had been my first post, and this my second, it's not surprising that you hadn't seen my name previously. =)

Hey, Weevil, Space Cadet here. I don't really check out this part
of the boards much, so I'm only now finding out about your post
and your ideas for a Cincinnati campaign. If and when you do
get your campaign going, I'd definitely like to know about it.
It's been awhile since I've been in a Champions game, but I've
never been in one set here in town.

So what of Northern Kentucky, well I live in N. Ky. but work in Cincinn. The thought of a game here would be great, possiblity of using the all to recent TALL STACKS event as a possible back drop. G.E. as a front for possible D.O.D. set up, they do make Jet engines there. Former WWII research facility, international airport. Yes, this would be wonderful, plus already has national attention from that T.V. sit com WKRP in Cincinnati, people would at least know the town.

I am in the process of trying, yes TRYING!! to transfur, yet again, my characters from 4th ED. to 5th ED. I have been successful with the lower powered ones but my favorites, a very well used gageter, is just about going to kill me with the calulations.

Look forward to the game, if it is face to face, wonderful, if PBeM, that is fine too.
B.:) :D
