deleting characters

I just bought and updatdated hero designer ,but i can't seem to figure out how to delete a character after it's been saved. Is there a simple way to do it? I'm an old gamer and reading the help file is hurting my grey matter.

Delete it like you would any other file on your computer? Locate the directory, gointo the folder, delete as normal.

The file is simply an XML file (with the extension '.hdc'). Just delete the file.

If you are talking about it being on the list of characters automatically opened when you start the program, if you select 'close character' from the file menu, it will not be automatically reloaded.

Note: deleting the character file will mean it won't be automagically reloaded (obviously).
