Just one more followup question to your reply to my previous question on how to apply maneuvers w/ response elements (http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72035)...

So if I do a grab (any grab) I can perform a grab & throw (or block, control, redirect, shove, or squeeze) in the same segment (5ER p386) right? Difference being I have the CV modifiers of whichever grab I used and do only straight STR damage.

And if I want to have CV bonuses and dc bonuses of a grappling throw instead than I must wait until my next attack action.

I'm I reading everything right?

A character using an ordinary Grab can then immediately Squeeze or Throw the victim, doing his ordinary STR damage. If he were to maintain his grip he could Throw the victim in a later Phase, but once he's Grabbed the target, he suffers the CV penalties described on 5ER 387-88.

A Grappling Throw is a form of Strike in which, after having Grabbed a target, the character can hurl him to the ground in a later Phase. He suffers the CV penalties described on 5ER 387-88, but the Grappling Throw's +0 OCV, +2 DCV bonus affect his CV first (according to the standard rules for calculating OCV and DCV). The damage done by the Grappling Throw is STR +2d6, which may be further increased by Extra DCs bought for the character's Martial Arts.
