I don't know, any story with a group of Luchadores could pretty much substitute in mud wrestlers.
One of 5 sisters leaves the family after having been falsely accused of a crime; sinks into the depths of Bosch's Professional Woman's Mud Wrestling, three years later found murdered. Her 4 sisters are now following in her footsteps hoping to avenge her death and clear her name of the crime she didn't commit. Who is the mysterious Paul Hiram Bosch also known as the Man from Houston and what are his plans for these lovelies? Will these brave girls succeed in clearing their sister's name and visiting dirty wet justice upon her killer? Play Mondo Freudo a mini campaign for Herophiles everywhere who aren't afraid to get dirty

Good Idea: Pirate Hero
Bad Idea: Samoli Pirate Hero
I don't get to play a heroic Navy SEAL who takes out a pirate with a single daring night time shot on a restless sea?
Bad Idea: Gothic Hero
But that could be so fascinating!
Did you know that no one sacked Rome more often than the Goths did?
Alaric the Goth sacked Rome for the first time in over 800 years, after it had stood unconquered throughout most of the Replican and Imperial phases of its history.
Vitiges the Goth didn't get through the walls but most certainly ravaged everything outside those walls.
Baudila the Goth sacked Rome TWICE and threatened to make Rome a “pasture for cattle.”
And that's just from the Age of Sacks – there's the Age of Migration, the tense and adventurous time when the Goths first crossed into Empire, their struggles against the Huns, the rise and fall of the Gothic kingdoms....I think Gothic Hero would be a great idea.
Good Idea: Dresden Files Hero

This of course assumes GURPS doesn't make your head explode.
Actually, they only got through the Mage core before White Wolf pulled the plug on the GURPS conversions. (Why is something between the two companies; probably only those directly involved truly know).
One of the settings that GURPS never got to was Wraith: the Oblivion, one of the great disasters of RPG history. You played a restless ghost who spends most of his time feeling awful, with limited interaction with the real world. It's sort of like an RPG about being in Hell or Limbo. It proved very unpopular and went almost completely unplayed.

GURPS had the Vampire, Werewolf and Mage lines converted. They made somewhat more sense done that way. OTOH White Wolf's Storyteller system was prety much a broadstrokes system where the gameplay was supposed to revolve around the dramatic creation and roleplaying of the players and GM rather than nitty gritty rules. The problem is someone's roleplay is always getting on someone else's drama and vice versa. It never seemed to work out as well as Reese's did
The part of FAILTM you missed about Wraith (or Nose Roids as the original obscure logo read to us) is where another player is your character's shadow. From wikipedia "This Shadow is essentially a secondary personality that, if the wraith's primary personality (or Psyche) becomes vulnerable, asserts control of the wraith's body and senses for a time. These episodes, called Catharsis, only end when the primary personality manages to reassert itself." Yeah, let's just ensure the players are at each others' throats, why don't we?

Just for clarity: That was an optional rule if the GM felt playing the player's shadows would be too much for him: The other option I can remember off the top of my head is that one group member co-gm'd playing all of the shadows.

Fair enough. It's been so long since I looked at Wraith I don't recall all the details. I didn't own it and the opposition system was what was explained to me by the GM. That game never took off as most of the players felt it was a bad idea.

The palindromedary reasons that if a magical construct can be created once, what's to keep it from being created multiple times?
According to Wikipedia (I love that Smurfette has her own entry), it took several days (in private with Papa Smurf) to transform Smurfette from her crude form into the Smurfette that we know. And a lot longer for her to learn basic empathy. This makes it impractical to create one hundred or two hundred, but not unlikely to say make a half-dozen or so for the Smurf elite.
Although, Papa Smurf apparently use the same formula to produce a human hag to plague Gargamel, so it seems to be a very flexible spell to say the least.

Because "Built like a brick house" is a polite way of saying "Really really fat."
Actually it isn’t. “Built like a brick house” (sometimes also brick S***house) commonly refers to a woman who is “stacked”, which is to say, large busted. It can also be used to denote being muscular in men, particularly for short, stocky, “solid” builds. (Often the S-house version of the saying is used with men, where just saying house is more common for women, but this varies by location). “Brick house” denotes being “solid” or “sturdy” and has nothing to do with being overweight or obese.

Alma Mater 1st ed by Steve Davis, Andrew Warden (1982) Oracle Games A grossly humorous RPG about high-school students of anarchic bent at a generic high-school setting, "Central High". The cover by Erol Otus shows juvenile delinquents gathered at the front door of their high school, with drug-dealing and fornication in evidence. The inside cover is a map of Central High School. The system is skill-based. Character creation is class-based with random-roll attributes. You roll 7d10 and assign one die to each of seven attributes: Strength, Coordination, Appearance, Intelligence, Learning Drive, Courage, Willpower, and Constitution. You pick one of seven classes: Average Kid, Brain, Cheerleader, Criminal, Jock, Tough, and Loser. You then generate your social level based upon your class and a d10 roll, which in turn generates your starting money and allowance. Your age (from 13 to 17) and birthday are then generated. You get attribute increases when you turn 16, 17 and 18. You then randomly generate problems, ranging from "Moderate Acne" to phobias and so forth, with increased problems for lower Appearance. You have initial skills based on class, including high-school specific skills such as Cheating, Drinking, Studying, and Crudeness. The core book includes rules for activities ranging from drug use, animal reactions, and dealing with the contents of the chem lab to pregnancy. Players score points for Social Success (for dating, partying, etc.), Academic Success (for grades), and General Success (including miscellaneous such as successful crimes for the Criminal and Tough classes). The game includes an explicit victory condition that whoever has the most Success Points after four years of game time wins the campaign.

Pulped Fiction
In 2025 Florida has lost a large portion of its land but is the only source of real oranges in the world (most juices now being made using artificial flavors and vitamin supplements). Tyrese Brett an orange grower and geneticist, contacts Del monte claiming to have created a strain of seedless oranges that will grow almost anywhere and offers to sell his research and samples to the company. The team is dispatched to handle the transaction. The Team arrives at Brett's estate amid warning of an approaching hurricane. The team completes the transaction (one way or another) and recieves the information (briefcase with 666 combination) when a teams from one or more rival companies arrive on the scene to intercept. As the action heats up the hurricane hits in full force...

Good Idea: A gun that shoots death rays!
Bad Idea: A gun that shoots manta rays!
Johan Walbaum was a genius in more than one field, but eventually he went hopelessly insane. One manifestation of his madness was a superstitious dread of manta rays, which he called "The devilfish!" He designed a speargun that is in most respects identical to the common scuba diver's hunting weapon, but equipped with a built in sonar and targetting computer programmed to identify and target rays in general, and manta rays specifically. No one has managed to reverse-engineer the design yet, and most of the examples known are kept as curiosities.

I almost wrote it up as a Focus, but the palindromedary talked me out of it.

I think a Dark Shadows game has a lot of potential. Just look at how many times they've tried to remake it. They are in fact still trying since we'll have a movie next year.
