While I looking through the TUV, I noticed something that did not click with HD cost calcs.

Example, the Motorcycle lists was 57/5 = 11 pts in the TUV
If I enter a vehicle in HD that has 57 base pts, its give me 12 pts. It was simple to fix it with a -1 custom adders, but I thinking that I shouldn't have to.

Any thoughts on which is correct?
(I'm personally assuming that TUV is using the more correct method).

Actually, it's coming out to 11.4 points.....no rounding is taking place.

If you buy a second 57 point Vehicle, your total on the Perks tab will be 23 points spent (11.4 + 11.4 = 22.8 = 23).

Looks like a rounding error...
although I dont have TUV i have noticed much Discussion in HD about rounding...
One might have slipped through the cracks....
I'm sure Dsimon will reply fairly soon...and if it is an error, he will promise and deliver an update in about 3 or 4 days...
He's REAL good with that!!

Again, since I dont have TUV I' mdoing a bit of assuming.....

He appears to be correct.....The vehicle he has pictured is 11 Active @ 55...goes to 12 @ 56 and stay there till 13 @ 61....
So assuming the rounding should occure in the standard of .1-.4 rounds down, .5 to the benefite of the player, and .6-.9 up....then a 57 shold round down to be 11 points...

Again, no rounding is taking place in HD on the calculation of Vehicle/Base cost. I believe that this is the way it's supposed to be, but I am checking with Steve on it.

Yes, if you buy a single Vehicle at 57 points, it will display12. The documentation covers this.

If you buy 2 Vehicles (separately) at 57 points each, both will display a cost of 12, but the total will be 23. No rounding is occurring.

If Steve gets back to me and says that the cost of a Vehicle or Base counts as a calculation (and, therefore, qualifies for rounding), then I'll put rounding in at that point. But for now, it's following the rules as I know them.

Sorry...didnt understand the 1st post you put involved checking... I read it as no rounding SHOULD occur.... If you want to, I flipped open my 5th Ed to pae 325 and looked at the cost for the Kawasaki.... 112 Active, 22 Real....112/5 = 22.4...the equivalent would be 57/5=11.4 ..... I'm sure Steve will get out his Hero Tome and find it but it looks like it should be adjusted..... but I'll leave ya alone since I know youy ALWAYS do a splendid job on getting things right and updated!

I personally am a dsimon fan to the grave!

OK...Steve got back to me and verified that it is, in fact, a calculation, so rounding should occur.

I'll have that in place for the next update.

Ok sounds like a plan to me.
