I did mention in the other thread that the concept of the game that this character was in was next gen, legacy heroes; children or descendants of other heroes taking up the mantle. They were all that way. I didn't go for brand-new, original character for the contest; I went for the one I wanted Poison to draw for me.

The Player didn't choose the game specs, and I think we should back off just a little on Wildcard since the Player is interested in having their Character drawn.

Sure it's derivative ... but so is every Superman or Batman clone everyone here on the boards has written up and/or tried to play.

I went with EON but it was a tough decision.

Both are good characters. I am a huge Gambit fan, so of course I like Wildcard for that. I actually voted for Wildcard earlier in the competition. It was a tough decision though not being able to choose both of them this time...

I could have easily picked both!

In fact, I think you have quite a cool concept within the parameters of a "Marvel legacy" setting. I was just expressing my own preferences for this context.
