Under the Area of Effect (Cone) entry, it's said that unless the Cone is Indirect, the point of it must point back towards the character. It also says that a Cone with No Range starts in the hex right in front of the character. However, I can't see how a 60-degree cone can both be oriented properly and originate in a hex adjacent to a character on a hex grid. Care to clarify how No Range Cones are supposed to work? -- Pteryx

Well, there's an illo right there on 5E 159. I'd suggest that if things don't line up just so (a peril of hex grids), just imagine/cut out of paper a properly-sized 60 degree cone and go from there.
