Missing Equipment Tab

I'm running HD v1.47,and although previous versions seemed to have run ok,when I set the Character Template to any of the Superhero settings my Equipment Tab at the top disappears.It remains on the other templates,and also appears when I re-open a character saved from a previous version,[although the latter appears with the template marker set at Standard Hero even though that has no effect on the original character sheet.If I reset the previously created character's template back to a Superhero one ,the tab disappears on that too!]
I hope that makes sense.
Is it just me or has anyone else had this problem?
Can anyone please enlighten me on how to get round this problem,other than going back to an earlier version? :confused:

This has always been the case and is quite intentional. Superheroic characters do not get equipment -- they pay for anything they carry (i.e. purchase it as powers).

Heroic and Normal level characters have the equipment tab available as those character qualify (under the rules) for the "0 cost equipment".

Again, this has always been that way. It is a setting in the template which specifies whether to show the tab or not, so if old characters are showing the tab, then they were built using a template which states that the equipment tab should be visible.

I know they're supposed to buy equipment as powers,but it was convenient to slot stuff in under "equipment" as a category as opposed to powers to make it more obvious which related to which,and ,besides the prefabs for equipment are handy.
Thanks for your enlightenment though,and I apologise for being a bit thick..I'm still learning the latest stuff,having been out of the RPG[and Hero specifically] loop for a while.

Nothing purchased on the equipment tab counts against the overall points for the character, which is why it's not available on supers.

If you want to organize your equipment, just create a list on the powers tab and call it "Equipment". Put all the gear in there.

I see the point ,but is there anyway to transfer the equipment/weapons,etc prefabs over?

Many have done that already....if you have a prefab that is only available as equipment, you have 2 options:

1. Edit the prefab file manually and change the equipment section to the powers section.

2. Open the prefab in a new character which is set to use the equipment tab. Add all items from the prefab to the equipment tab, copy, and paste them to the powers tab. Save as prefab.

Methinks you should have earned a high level Reputation Perk [from my perspective at least].
