RPG.net poster Felix is running a "Let's Read" thread on RPG.net.
That type of thread has developed as a sort of in-depth, running review of a gaming book. In this case, he's doing it for the 4th edition Champions book.
Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, the thread over there is up to 16 pages and there are no flames. Felix has insisted from the first message that there not be any, which helps, but I think also the general mood toward Hero over there has improved.
He's up to Mind Scan in Powers; another very cool thing he's doing is, for each Power, he's giving several examples a la 5th Edition, but these are his own builds. In other words, he's doing a bang-up job explaining the HERO System in a way that new folks can easily grasp, and he's explaining how to use the Powers system to build effects you want. 4th edition is close enough to 5th edition that the examples and explanations work for 5th almost as is.
The thread is here (http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=454655) for those who are interested.
