Force wall and Personal Immunity – what does it mean?
Pg 182 - Personal Immunity: Buying Personal Immunity for his Force Wall does not allow a character to walk through and/or attack through his own Force Wall without hindrance. It simply prevents him from being englobed by it.
What does this mean?
For example, Force Fist tries to use his 3" wide Force Wall globe (uncontrolled continuous, 8 x 1 turn charges, personal immunity) on someone two inches away from him, and misses by two inches, hitting his hex. Englobing him and his teammate Lightning Cat, and a Viper agent.

Fist can’t turn it off. He can’t walk through the force wall. But < It simply prevents him from being englobed by it.>

How does it prevent him being englobed? What happens?

Is Lightning Cat englobed? Is the Viper agent?

The most common situation in which this would apply is if a character tries to englobe someone and the GM allows the target to Reflect the attack back at the character. The situation you describe is another possibility. I'll leave it up to the GM to decide the exact "special effects" of Personal Immunity in any given situation.
