Greetings,
after completing a read of the character creation section of APG, I realized that IMO it includes several rules additions that in various ways improve Hero character creation, and typically do not directly contradict or alter but expand or supplement 6th. ed. rulebook rules. As such, their inclusion in HD ought to improve the usefulness of the program, well beyond the somewhat tiresome and roundabout option of creating them as custom modifications.
However, given the officially optional nature of such rules, I wished to open up a bit of discussion and hopefully raise some consensus about thier usefulness in HD, before laying an official request for their feature inclusion in HD. From what I heard from SL, it is the HD programmers' choice whether to include APG rules in HD or not.
I've compiled a list of such rules, ordered according to my rough opinion of their general usefulness:
Long-Term Control Advantage (for Mind Control), p. 108-109
Variable Special Effects Advantage (for Adjustment Powers and Dispel), p. 55
Dismissable Adder (for Barrier, Entangle, and Mind Control), p. 81
Affects Porous Adder (for Telekinesis), p. 123
Additional Areas of Effect Advantages, p. 134
Multiple Special Effects Advantage, p. 138-139
Possession Power, pp. 74-77
Selective Desolidification Advantage (for Desolidification), p. 90
Projection Advantage (for Desolidification), p. 92
Other Universal Talents, pp. 49-50
Increased Return Rate Limitation (for Adjustment Powers), p. 56
Proportional Advantage/Limitation, p.139-140
Delayed Endurance Cost Advantage, p. 140
Deep Mental Shift Adder (for Shape Shift), p. 115
Deterioration Limitation (for Barrier and Entangle), p. 144
Expanded Accidental Change Complication, p. 148
