Well, wouldn't decorate my house with it... But I really do like it. I've always been a fan of minimalism and simplicity.

If my house were meant to be cracked open, read, and referenced for gaming instead of being my general homey habitat, I'd decorate JUST LIKE THAT. LOL. ;)

I like it. I walked into Hastur in Salt Lake and spotted the APG with a glance.
I wouldn't decorate my house like that, but it looks good. Perhaps the Swedes would like to use it as a flag substitute?

Personally, I don't like the cover's color combinations but its a book and it could have been way worse. The black was clean and elegant but the blue and yellow is kind of hard on the eyes. I did like the 4th ed's cover the best but I'd take a mediocre cover which actually stayed on the book over a great cover which separates.

I am not sure that this is the right forum to put this kind of poll if you expect people to have negative view on a rulebook they expected for some times... Even about the design of the cover. I bet not a lot of people that doesnt like the cover and thus never pick the book will never answer here... :p

Great idea, just emailed the Swedish PM about it. ;)

Well, none of the answers is really accurate to my opinion on the matter. I wouldn't decorate my house with the cover, but for a gaming book cover I think it is great.

Having seen it in the flesh (in the paper?) it is certainly eye catching.

While I wouldn't decorate my house like it, (bad bad poll maker adding such bias to your poll) I do think that the cover looks great. (BTW it looks far better in person than it does in the PDF!). The Blue is nearly radioactive and will pull many eyes to the book which is a good thing. It is far better than the boring Black cover!
BTW I hope we get some Hero dice in the new colors! That would be quite nifty!

Hell yeah! I'm paranoid about counting my dice and rarely buy more, but I'd buy those! :D

Meh. Covers are irrelevant to me.

I really don't like minimalism and simplicity on my cover. I want to be able to look at the cover and say "Wow, Hero burned some art budget!" I want something that's going to draw new players to the game.

I'm also interested in getting new players into the game. I think the striking cover will get 'em to pick it up. And which point the combination of excellent graphic design, attractive interior art, and well written rules will keep 'em.

Dude, I worked at a Diamond warehouse during that @#$% in the comics industry. People complaining that they thought that ordering 2 copies of a book should've gotten them at least 1 of the 2 per hundred "special cover" versions...
