I was given copies of HDv2 and HDv3. HDv3 shows a version number of 2006051510. HDv3 still shows COM which I believe was removed as a characteristic in HS6e. Is there a difference, then, between HDv3 and HD6? If there is, and HD6 is the version currently for sale in the digital store, then that will pretty much cement my decision to purchase it in the near future. I want to make sure I am using the right version of HD to go along with HS6e...thanks in advance!

The current version of HD in the store can manage either 5th ed or 6th ed characters, depending on what template you use.

Of course it can, but the question he asked was if there is a difference between HDv3 and HD6.

Actually, she answered.

If Shadowheart was opening a char created with a 5th edition template, then it would show COM. The 6th edition template does not. It is not recommended to update a character from 5th to 6th by switching templates.

Dan added the ability to do 6th Edition characters and upped the version number at that time.
The current version HD6 handles 6th edition characters. If you are still under subscription, you can just download the update without repurchasing.

The current version of HD is HDv3 20091124

the difference between it and the build in the OP is that the current one handles 6E Characters as well, as the others said.
