HD 2.xx thoughts

1. I had absolutely no difficulties upgrading and operating HD, so yippee!

2. I was under the belief that I had to be online to operate HD 2.xx. However, I got disconnected and was still able to open old hdc files and export to updated HTML files. Not a problem, didn't think I would be able to do that.

3. I would like to change the NCM value from 20 to 15 to reflect a society of wimpier people :) Is there a way to do this? If not, it's something to consider.

4. For rookie GM like myself, it would be handy for STR to reflect the Killing Damage for characters who routinely use blades, etc that are STR+xd6 damage. Maybe a toggle or something? Again, just a thought from a rookie who gets stumped when referring to the DC chart and converting!

Love it so far. If I have a problem, you'll be the second one to know!

1. Glad to hear it!

2. You only need to be online to start HD...after that, you can go offline without a problem.

3. That's just a template edit away. Basically, you'll need to create a custom template. The v1 docs contain instructions on how to do this (for v1 templates)....with luck, you'll be able to extrapolate those instructions for the v2 template structure (it's a lot easier now).

4. STR does not provide killing damage. Killing Attacks provide killing damage. When you buy a HKA, the total damage (with STR) is listed in parens, unless modifiers are purchased to affect this....
