I felt the need to re-capture my youth and so I recently bought the original Champions RPG game off e-bay. However, the map, character sheets and characters for use on the map are missing. Anyone know where I can download these or buy them?

If I remember correctly Steve Jackson Games Modern paper counter's (http://www.warehouse23.com/item.html?id=SJG2120) has supers paper counters and maps of the same size (AND may have some OLD Champ's Characters IIRC)

The first 3 versions of Champions were self published by Hero Games. 4e was the one originally published by ICE (AKA Iron Crown Enterprises).
The street corner map should be easy to come by. The original version on the eggshell paper seemed to come in a bunch of products. They reprinted a bad scan of that map with either the 3rd or 4th edition GM's Screen (I am pretty sure it was the 4th ed GM screen) that version of the map was on glossy paper and looked like a mediocre Photocopy of the original map due to all of the grey.
Somewhere on the web you can find the original Character silhouettes for drawing your character or you can buy the new official ones here in the Hero Games store. Character sheets made for 4th edition will work fine for an earlier edition game. Just keep in mind that Range mod changed in either 3rd or 4th edition so the Character sheet may not be accurate on Range mod penalties.
You might be able to pick up a copy of Viper's nest if you check ebay or other similar places.
Yes the Modern Cardboard Heroes http://www.warehouse23.com/item.html?id=SJG2120 does indeed have superheroes that were sold by SJ games for use with Champions. IT doesn't include maps. Also be aware that the maps that SJ games sell are scaled for 1" = 1m and not the traditional Hero 1"=2m.
Good luck

PS, I could of sworn that I posted this last night...

Going back to original CHAMPIONS...
MY 5th edition Resource Kit includes three double-sided maps and 36 paper miniatures on three cards; Fantasy, Modern, Science Fiction. These 'cardboard heroes' are black and white, not colored like Cardboard Heroes, but some of the same figures.
These'll never get cut up and be 'used, loose, lost' as is probably the case for many 4th edition GM's Screen figures, 60 Superhero and Supervillian 'playing pieces in full color'.
#401 is available "complete" on E-bay often, but both of mine however are without these figures, as they were part of a lot, 5 4th edition books and two screens.
When I inquired about exchanging 'my' duplicate screen for it's duplicate booklet in another, unsold lot, 'Maps and charts', the lady threw in this other lot, the Resource Kit, including the 5th Ed. GM's screen! I would have bought more books, but the lots must have all been sold, given away or given back.
That's alright; I still find occasional deals on E-bay. Would you believe I got "The Ultimate Martial Artist"/UMA for 99 cents, with free shipping? Ki-yaw!
As for the original game, I never did get a boxed set, some co-worker simply gave me both supplements and the rules!
Somehow I got the old map, or saw it, but I would run combat on a high school map I took out of a Space Gamer magazine, with small hexes overlaid.
