Cannot use export templates

I have had to "manually" install HDv3 (putting HDv3.jar into old directory), and downloaded some export templates (.hre files). The program recognizes the templates but when I try to 'Preview Character' I get error messages and the resulting HTML files are odd names (long strings of alphanmeric characters.html). Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

You'll need to post your trace.log file after the problem occurs in order for me to tell you what's going wrong on your system.

As for the odd names, that's perfectly normal -- the "Preview Character" function creates a temporary file (that is automatically deleted when the app closes) with a not-really-random name.
