Question for all the well versed Hero players here. I don't have a lot of experience with this system and I am new to this forum. I have played Champions off and on for years but never in depth. I have a friend who wants to build a character whose main ability is her hair. She can control it and make it do stuff. Her physical abilities will by quite athletic but still within the realm of normal human ability.
I first thought of stretching but there are other things she could possibly do like use it to launch herself (super leap), entangle...??? What else???
We are both playing 4th edition until someone breaks down and buys one of the newer editions. Any advice on how to make this a useful character and keep it simple for myself who has mediocre understanding of the system and a noob with no understanding of the game?
Thanks in advance.

For some reason I don't appear to have an appropriate export format for the forums any more, and this character happens to still be in 5E, but here you go.
EDIT: Oh, her background is missing. It appears as if I never got around to copying that over. But she's a super-hairdresser. She was part of the Villainous group GRIMM that I used in a ConGame back in the early 90s called "When Things Look Grimm."

It's a Hero Designer file, do you have Hero Designer?
Depending on how your system is set up, you may need to save the file someplace and then open it with Hero Designer.

The only thing I would add would be Extra Limbs. But very nice otherwise.

Wow. Thanks. That is VERY close to what I have done with her so far. Almost identical aside from me not using an EC for the powers and some stats.
Thanks again.

Oh wow. I'm not sure HOW I missed extra limbs. Good catch. I have to say this adventure was some of my best work for a one-off. The Swords of Justice (all blade weapon based heroes) against GRIMM (who were all fairy-tale based villains). I should seriously update this for 6th and publish it for the Legion folks or a freebie.

We have done this a few times in our games.
Standard versions - Extra Limbs, +STR with Extra Limbs, and Stretching; or Telekinesis with Physical Manifestation
Terrifying version - Duplication using the "hydra" rules under Cannot Recombine, use Altered Duplicates to buy the character's "locks of hair" as Automatons with a Disadvantage that the Automatons are non-functional if the character is Stunned or Unconscious, buy slow Regeneration with Resurrection for the Duplicates so that the character's hair can be regrown if destroyed
I really love the second build but the character I created it for was overpowered such that he was used as an Archvillain in our next game by the next GM.
