How can I buy hardened on the 9pd 9ed that I get with 9 levels of Density Increase?

You buy Damage Resistance for it and apply the Hardened Advantage.

Two problems with that solution Dan.

1- I don't want it Resistant just Hardened.
2- The cost is wrong. If I did want it resistant as well, it should cost 4 pts for the Hardened on the PD and ED and 2 for the Hardened on the DR. Instead all it applies is the 2 pts for Hardening on the DR and nothing for the PD and ED themselves.

Why isn't Hardened availible as a naked modifier?

1. Then you will need to use a Naked Modifier. Hardened cannot be applied directly to Density Increase, as Density Increase is not a Defense Power.

2. The costs are exactly as they should be. If I buy Damage Resistance for 9 PD and 9 ED, that's 9 points. If I then apply Hardened to it (a +1/4 Advantage), the cost goes up to 11 points (9*1.25 = 11.25 = 11 with rounding rules). That is exactly what HD shows.

If you want to have Hardened as a Naked Modifier under v1, you'll need to do it as a Custom Modifier (when defining the Naked Modifier). This is one of the limitations of the modifier intelligence in v1.

I have changed the way things are handled in v2 to avoid this.
