Going Backwards

If I want to return to version 1.** what do I need to do?

I have a purchased version of 1.47 but do not like having to log on to the net just to use a program.

You need to be online because you are using a test version of the app....that won't be present in the final release. It's there to make sure that everyone is testing against the same version and so that I can shut down the test when the time comes to release v2 (in a few months).

If you want to go back to v1, then just reinstall v1 (either in the same directory or in its own -- they can happily co-exist on the same machine) and grab the 1.47 update from the Free Stuff page.
