Just upgraded to V. 2 to check it out
I know we'll be given a code to go to the store to upgrade fully when it's released, but is there a time limit on how long the test version will work before I can't use it anymore?
Don't have a Hero game going right now, but I want to be able to downgrade to v. 1.47 should there be a time limit

Dan can correct me on this if I'm wrong but I believe he will disconnect the beta server (meaning your program can no longer connect) at about the same time as the final version becomes available.
There is a thread on downgrading that talks about going back v 1.47. Basically just reinstall the original 1.0 version and then install the 1.47 update.

Yup...I intend to keep the test version running until the final version goes on sale.
Each version will "de-activate" whenever I post a new build....but that's all part of the test. Basically (in case you haven't been through it before), the test version checks its version against the server during startup. If they match, then the startup proceeds as normal. If not, then you need to pull down the update before you can start.
This proces allows me to ensure that everyone is testing against the same version and allows me to shut down the test when we release the final version.
