Hey,
I'm still confused about question 2 (my question wasn't just about adding DCs, though now that I've read more in the HSMA book, I'm confused about that as well).
Character has a TK based Multipower with several abilities (straight Blast, RKA, Telekinesis, and a RKA AoE). They buy Enerjutsu and define TK as their primary ability, but pay the extra points for the Blast and RKA elements.
All of that is fine, I know how it works and how to add damage with it. But my confusion comes in with the AoE.
According to pg 106 of HSMA, the implication is that any advantaged 'base' works for generic strikes and that if you want the MA bonus to apply, you have to buy the specific maneuver as advantaged. That would seem to indicate that the PC can't use his AoE with the style (though I could be reading it wrong).
But the adding DC rules seem to imply otherwise (such as someone with a weapon based style picking up an armor piercing sword they wouldn't stop being able to use their style with that weapon).
So, do I simply ignore the fact that the power is advantaged and simply use the adding DC rules (as well as adding or subtracting any CV modifiers the maneuvers might have)?
