Hello all,

I am looking for a Cartographer, someone familiar with Fantasy setting style maps and is able to take limited written instructions and/or poorly sketched maps and turn them into art.

I am not ready to submit any specific requests for commissions, but I am currently shopping around to find the person I will use, either in Q4 of this year or Q1 2011.

Any and all recommendations wold be appreciated. As a point of comparison, I am very fond of Mike Schley's style though he is far outside the price range for D3 Games. :doi:

Maps will range from continent, to region (consisting of multiple nations) to national (1 specific nation) to "county" (focusing on a city and its surroundings). May include floorplans for one or two buildings such as an Inn or other prominent building of the area depending on budget and need.

Thank you
:help:

The best place I know of for getting this request filled pretty quickly is The Cartographer's Guild (http://www.cartographersguild.com/). Make sure to say hi when you arrive. Very friendly bunch, and there are actually quite a few professionals among their ranks including our very own Keith Curtis. :)
