Welcome to the new (and improved) boards, fellow Champions.
Big thanks to Nato for putting us up for a while.

I'm back to my original name, too. Hurrah Hurrah.

It feels like home, only different. I will have to sleep here a few nights and use the shower before it feels right though. :)

Just be sure to clean up.

Aglar used to use everyone else's towels and leave mullet bits in the drainage.
ick.

That was part of Aglar's mullet?! No wonder- I had tried to beat it with a frying pan and set it on fire, but the onlt thing that killed it was soap... :D

I like the new boards and the default font.

Also like that I can attach images. I think I'll start a character and art thread sometime next week like I do on Green Ronin's boards. I don't have time right now (Millennium City interiors, Warlord cards all due this week).

Well darn those MC interiors! :)

That's ok Storn. We can wait for your wonderful pics. I am learning patience. Dan said we had to practice that. :)

 I know the feeling. I finally made Standard Hero and here I am again, starting over. I like the digs, though. It does kind of feel like home.
Thanks to Natoman for allowing us to loiter around his boards. Those were my first experience with discussion boards, and I've been having a great time (and getting some great ideas for my new Champs campaign that's coming up).
And lastly, to Storn. Feel free to post those character pics here anytime. Like I said, I'm always looking for new ideas to borrow (read 'steal'). :D Your artwork is awesome!

Yes, it's good to be back.:)

And I see that "other" Acroyear got back first so I have to add a "II" behind my name again!

Just kidding! There's more than enough room here at the newChampions Headquarters for two Acroyears. Just don't eat my Coca Puffs, okay?:D

The early Acroyear gets the worm.

If it makes you feel better, you can associate yourself with the American Acroyear (the noble warrior prince) and I will associate myself with the original Acroyear (as in "Cosmo Satan Acroyear").

This also allows Hermit, my arch-nemesis, to believe he's fighting the good fight when we all know he's really just an under-medicated mental patient obsessed with shaved ferrets. ;)

My rivalry is with Bolt, I don't know these 'acro' people.
Bolt is gone... I won, heh heh heh....

You're not supposed to chew them (trust me on this). Ciprofloaxin (sp?) and vicadin taste awful.

Yeah it's rough. I don't usually post that often and it took me quite a while to get beyond incompent, right now I'm just trying to find anything I can offer an opinion on so I can make it up to skilled. It just doesn't feel right to use Dredd as an avatar and not be rated as at least skilled.

We COULD always pretend to be sympathetic to each other's loss in status, and use the consoling as a means of getting at least one free post in...

I think many of us made them out of pics we had on our computer, but Mike B. posted a nice link which you might find handy.

That's what I did, I have upwards of 2500 scanned superhero images on my computer. It was a hard choice.

Looks like you used Gamma, the Atom Smasher from Freedom City for yours, Mono.

*I'll heap praise upon someone who can guess who I used for my avatar. He's known, but somewhat obscure.*

It is not the link. It just the fact that the site is temporarily down. It will probably be back up shortly.

You are about 2,000 ahead of me then. :) I only steal pics from RPG sites that I can use for my player's characters and villains. I do not have too many comic book characters in the collect.

I of course used my superb drawing skills to create my avatar. None of this cheap plagarism here. :) (and showed why I stick to writing instead of drawing, though someday I dream of being able to do more than stick figures...)

Find yourself a nice artist friend who can do stuff for you..... ;-)
I do have to brag for my friend, he finally got published- in two gaming books (Dragon Lore and Necromantic Lore). Go Blaine.

But of course the link above had some nice stuff, for those who never spent the points on contact: artist friend. :-)

Yeah, having an artist friend has its advantages. :) My friend doesn't do computer art for the most part. So mine is a section taken from an watercolour (I think...I'm not an artist) she did for me years ago...scanned it in and cut out the bit I wanted. :D

The really cool thing is that she is also a gamer, and so can usually be talked into doing posterboard minis for our characters. :) With any luck she'll get some work out of HERO sometime in the future...I finally browbeat her into sending in her portfolio. She's done work for several game companies in the past (Iron Crown, Chaosium, AEG, and others) but never HERO, her favourite game.

I just got lucky that one of the online comics I regularly read was looking for "volunteers" to be Bandits in a Xena paraody strip. So, I became a comic strip character. After that, it was easy to create my avatar.

Actually, my first avatar was kinda crude. The artist's boyfriend also has his own strip, and didn't like seeing his girfriend's art looking so crude. So he took my clip of her art and facied it up and smoothed it out. I've been using this avatar for a while on different boards. I had to compress it for this board. It's normally something like 100 x100.
