So, I was doing a bit of surfing on TVTropes and stumbled across a mention of a story, one that I think can/could be terribly useful for certain types of games (Wold Newton-verse, Pulp, Steampunk, and Horror all come to mind).

Unfortunately, I can't find ANY other references to this particular story online.

Anyhoo, the title is The Peculiar Mating Habits of Wasps, and the premise, as I understand it is as follows...

Dr. Watson notices Sherlock Holmes doesn't have an alibi for any of the Ripper murders. Upon further probing he discovers that, yes, in fact Holmes IS Jack the Ripper. Although he's not so much "murdering" the women as much as "Removing the alien creatures that have been implanted in them".

I'm probably incorporating this into the time-line of my Pastiche setting in any case, but I'd really like to find it.

Anyone got any bright ideas where said story might be found?

Have you tried Googling it? Other than that, I'd say Wiki *Shrug*

yep.
Recursive search, only thing I found was the source where I first found it.

The was a collection of short-stories called Sherlock Holmes in Orbit that I read about a decade ago (Mike Resnick and Martin H. Greenberg were involved). It sounds vaguely like one of the stories in it.

There was a Outer Limits('90s version) story with Jack targeting alien possesed humans.

I read it a long time ago. I'm going to go check my book shelves.

Here's a story on Baen's free library It's a mix of Lovecraft and Holmes.

http://www.webscription.net/10.1125/Baen/F1597801607/F1597801607.htm

Selections-from-the-improbable-adventures-of-sherlock-holmes (http://www.webscription.net/p-1184-selections-from-the-improbable-adventures-of-sherlock-holmes.aspx) The link to the page where you can Download the whole book for free on Baen book's Website..

If that's not it, there's other stories in the anthology that might match.
