As long as we're doing sneak peeks, I figured I'd show you the HSB cover. ;)

First impression: Feh. Boring. Where's the drawings of animals? :tonguewav
Second impression. 1.27 seconds later: Wait a sec. Isn't that a dragon? HexDragon! MEGA COOL! :hail:

Specifically, it's a wyvern. Full credit to Bill Keyes for finding that image amidst the clip art I sent him and thinking to use it for the cover. :hex:

Why did I think this was going to have a bear on the cover instead?

Anyways, I like the idea of all of the core books matching, so that is a plus...

Not wild about the core book covers, but would rather have them match than change at this point

I have to say, looking at the new edition spine out only on a shelf, the color coding gives the lot a really nice look overall, much nicer than previous editions.

I agree!

I like it. Perhaps not as colorful as a full page painting, but I like the color coding that goes along with the sixth edition line.

I like it. Simple and elegant. It certainly gets the point across.

La Rose.

Not at all what I was expecting, but quite cool.

Are there any Cloudcutting-Size beasts?

Are there any Cloudcutting-Size beasts?

No, I don't believe so. The largest thing in there is probably the Roc.

I like the cover. I also really like the color scheme for the core books.

Quick question. I know you mentioned that most of the creatures for the 5th edition are included in this new book. Does that include the Xenovores from the Alien War setting?

Xenovore Battlebird (p417) and Xenovorewarhound (p418) are the only two Xenovore creatures to appear, both updates from the 5E HSB.

I've discovered two humorous entries amid the various character sheets (of which there are lots!)

Nice...jumps out, yet blends with what has been put out already...

I have to say that I like the cover. The stylized are a nice departure from what other games are doing. It makes the HERO books stand out.
