Hey, folx. Just a quick note about tonight's chat. I fully intend to be there, but Greensboro is currently gettin' slapped around by the attenuated effects of Hurricane Isabel, and there have been some local power outages. If I don't show up, assume I don't have power and can't sign on, and simply carry on without me. ;)

Keep your head low and your hatches battened, Steve. And try to keep Osiris away from the windows unless he wants an involuntary perm. ;)

Seriously, if there's lightning around you'd be safer keeping the computer shut down. We'd understand - we need you healthy enough to write more books!

Actually things are doing OK here. Rain, and lots of heavy wind, but I haven't even lost any large tree branches. (My parents have, though.) No lightning that I've seen, just the wind and the water.
