Funko (http://www.funko.com) will release four 5” plush figures based on characters from Lord of the Rings in September. The characters are Frodo, Orc, Legolas, and Gandalf the White.

Interest in the property remains high, both from the aftermath of the film trilogy and the anticipation of the two Hobbit movies, currently in pre-production in New Zealand.

And the Hobbit movies are on hiatus, (again) since del Toro is no longer helming. Unfortunately, one suggestion for his replacement is Tim Burton. :weep: :angst: :bmk:

Yeah, that makes no sense. I don't see anyone buying those unless it's sold as a set, and even then it'd be the one plushie you put up with so you can get LEGOLAS!!! :love: ...ahem. :whistle:

Actually it's looking like they are going to offer Peter Jackson a ton of money to direct these. They seem to think that he's the only one who can pick up where Del Toro left off.
