Okay. I know that someone out there is looking for a game.

I just moved to Iowa (Des Moines area) and I'm looking to run or join a HERO game. I have two games that I can run, either Fantasy (my own world) or a Modern Supernatural (or Urban Fantasy) based upon the Everlasting RPG, but using the HERO system.

Let me know if you have any interest. We would play either Saturday or Sunday.

How about this, are there any Des Moines Area HERO gamers out there? My wife and I both play, and would be willing to host a game. We could be players or I could GM.

We can really only play on weekends, though.

Hi!

I once lived in Ames and the Hero community thier was very good. The owners of PC dungeon can point you in the right direction. There should be a link to them under the Hero Retailers section of the website.

We may have some people next week, but I'll have to drive to Ames to play. That isn't the easiest thing for me to do, though, with a wife and two kids coming, too.

Wish that I did not live in the corner of the state darn three hour drive. But hey if you ever want a character that shows up once and a while I might be able to make it down for a day.

My apologies---I think I unintentionally raised this thread from the dead. I started a thread identifying that I was looking for a game in Des Moines, and got a list of threads that already included Des Moines. I responded to this one without realizing that it was from 2006! Please forgive my necro post. I imagine the original poster has either found players or given up by now.

NP Conjureman, it is nice to see another Iowan that is into roleplaying. Just so you know the group I am in is planning another roleplaying party for February. If you can make it up to Emmetsburg when we have it listed, you are quite welcome to come. Also there be board games besides scenarios in GURPS and HERO.

What sort of game are you looking for? With the silly season here, I don't know that we'll be starting again until the new year, but you never can tell.

I am open to pretty much any genre. I have the most experience with the Hero system in the super hero genre, but have played nearly ever genre and gaming system out there. I am mostly looking for a good group of fun people and other than that am fairly flexible. If you still have a game going, I would be very interested in talking if you have room for another!
