Autofire +selective/non-selectoive AoE

The +1 advantage for autofire is based on not requiring a normal attack roll. If your area of effect is selective or non-selective while you make a non-normal attack roll to hit the area, you also have to make a normal attack roll to hit the targets in the area. Does it incur the extra +1 advantage penalty?
