What are the differences between an Universal Focus like a gun, that anyone could use, and a Focus with the limitation Independent? Why I should take the Indipendent limitation if the normal construct of the power define it entirely?

The difference is that Universal Foci like guns tend to be in no particular way special (in fact, they're often mass-produced and fungible). Independent tends to represent objects or items that are in some way unique, special, or irreplaceable. Furthermore, as discussed in the rules, Independent serves as a balancing function in many campaigns; it prevents characters from creating items at will and giving them to people.

See FH 134 for further discussion.
