All the sourcebook-specific items are nice, but they can get a bit overwhelming (and distracting, if you don't want them in your game). Since they are officially optional, would it be possible to add a screen to Campaign Rules that lets you filter them (like a set of checkboxes, one for each sourcebook)?

They are not officially optional. They were officially requested (by Steve) to be added into the app.

If you don't want to allow them in your campaign, and aren't willing to just ignore them, you'll need to make a custom template with a bunch of "REMOVE" statements.
