The time is approaching for Game Storm 13 (http://www.gamestorm.org/) in Vancouver (they're having a free Game Day this very moment that I couldn't make due to other commitments) and I'm wondering about Hero fans coming. Are Hero fans coming? Would there be a point in the eyes of the general con goers to schedule a Hero 6e game?
I haven't GMed Hero since I don't know when. I want to run a Fantasy HERO game but I don't know if I can come up with a good adventure in time. Aside from which I need stats for Orcs.... I think I still have my character handouts, however, so I probably don't need new PCs.
Anyone else thinking about going to the con and running games? Now is the time to submit your game if you want it in the schedule!

I was thinking about coming to this, but it's a long drive. How big is it, and how many gaming RPG tables are there? I went to one day of Conquest NW, and they only had Living Forgotten Realms, which was OK, but I'm not a big fan of D&D in any iteration nowadays. 4th Edition struck me as being a tabletop videogame and not really what I am all about. That was my impression as a first time player anyway.

I know Mike Stackpole is one of the literary guests. A friend of mine is running that part of the show.

Last year we had about 800 people; we expect at least that many this year.
As for RPG's, we have both assorted traditional D20 games and Indie games of various forms. Last year the former area had 7 tables which were all running quite a bit of the time. They'll have more this year. The Indie folks have 6 tables.
If you go to http://schedule.gamestorm.org/events/GS13/proposals?sort=track (http://schedule.gamestorm.org/events/GS13/proposals), you can see what's been scheduled so far. The Indie events are listed under "Indie Hurricane", others under "Roleplaying". I know they have much more planned than is in the system at this point.
Hope that helps!

I submitted my Fantasy HERO demo. But since it's neither D20 nor indie, where does it go?
I'm trying to decide on one other game I want to run, and I'll have to decide soon. I don't know yet whether it'll be Hero or something else.

Very helpful. Thank you. I haven't been to Portland in years. The two-hour drive each way is daunting, but so this might make a nice trip.

Two hours! That's nothing! (Actually, a bit of a pain, but since I now live nearly two hours from useful shopping...)

OK, I've signed up to run a Fantasy HERO game as mentioned. I see no reason it won't get on the schedule. I have room to run one more session. So what do you HEro guys who could be going to GameStorm want to play that I can prepare in the time allowed? More FH? A different genre? A different game?

My Hero game is confirmed, and if you're pre-registered for GameStorm you can sign up for it starting tomorrow night. The scheduling system is right here (http://schedule.gamestorm.org/).
