It's about time!

Though, Twilight was darn good.

Any word on the time slot?

And I found 'The Savage Time' to be a great episode, as well as the recent return of Darkseid. Geez, at least it looked plausible when Supes got batted through the walls!

It's on now... and... forgive me, but that android is a dead ringer for Marvel's "Super Adaptoid"

Yep.

WW finally failed a missile deflection roll!

Whoops, turns out this guy is meant to be a modernized version of AMAZO.

So which came first, Amazo or the Super Adaptoid?

According to a websearch
Amazo first... in
The Brave and the Bold #30
July 1960

following was Adaptoid, later Super Adaptoid in
First Appearance: Tales of Suspense #82
1966

though, in the LOOKS dept tonight, they sure seemed to go with an Adaptoid kind of thing... minus the green :)

BTW, all in all, a good episode. Very solid, and I like the new hour long formats.

Apparently, Bruce Timm dislikes both the name Amazo and his look, but the story was too cool to pass up.

That having been said (and it was an excellent story), he did look way too much like the Adaptoid, IMHO.

I just watched my taped copy, very good. The hour long episode makes it easier to follow the two story lines. Very cool the way they had Jonn reconfirm his faith in helping humanity. Also when the police were attacking AMAZO my first thought, well there are the real heroes, they can't do anything to stop him, but they're trying their hardest. One jumps up and tries a choke hold, the police force doing everything they can to stop the robot.

Actually, for me the funniest part wasn't in the show, but in a comercial clip... Wonder Woman and (presumably) Hawkgirl are both in trouble... and Wonder Woman cries out "Hera, give me strength" and Hawkgirl snaps in irritation, "Do you always have to say that?"

I couldn't help but smirk.

Anyone else think Amazo looked a bit like a Bruce Timm redesign of Gort?

This is good news, I will love when they bring more episodes on VHS or DVD.
What time does it come on?

Saturdays, 10:00PM. Looks like generally they will be running it in two half-hour time slots (so you'll get to see part one and two on the same night - Yay!)

What IS it with this show and showing the blues on Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman's costumes as purple ??
