I believe it was said that Java virtual machine on the tablet is only a subset. I forget where I saw it before.

Dalvik, the Java-ish implementation for Android, does not align to Java SE nor Java ME class library profiles (e.g., Java ME classes, AWT or Swing are not supported). Instead it uses its own library built on a subset of the Apache Harmony Java implementation.

What does this mean for HeroDesigner? It might work, it might not, but it certainly won't be supported.

I haven't managed it on my Xoom (running Honeycomb), but I haven't tried all that hard. I have an excel sheet that works ok as a google doc, though, and that works on android...

Probably not the answer you are looking for but...

All of the places I currently game at have WiFi, so I just run it on my PC at home and use RDP to use it via my Honeycomb tablet.
