OK...now that we (finally) have a stable Mac build, I want to get everyone testing on the same version. To that end, I've posted a new update.
Version 2.0.41 is now available for download.
Barring any major errors in this build, this will be the last update for about a week.....
Enjoy!

Runnin' it on my Mac, and all is well. I'll be able to put it through it's paces a bit more later in the week.
Big kudos to Dan for getting HD to work for "the rest of us." :)

Somebody (Buzz?) had said they were having troubles getting the graphics to appear on the previews. It seems to me form my invesitgations that the culprit is the not the pathway, but the jpegs themselves. I cannot open them with any number of graphics applications. PhotoShop 7 gave me the most info.
Could not open "champions5.jpg" because an invalid DQT JPEG QTable number is found (it must be < 4).
I get the same message for hero5.jpg, but merely an "unable to parse the jpeg data" message with herologo.jpg.
My guess is that there is some whackiness going on with the way Stuffit is unzipping the jpegs. Two suggestions.
1. The easy fix. Make the jpegs downloadable directly from the Herodesigner site.
2. The more involved fix. Since they are B&W or at least grayscale images, change them to GIFs. Sonce GIF do not utilize compression, they are unlikely to be affected by compressor wonkiness.
Of course, my guess as to the problem could be way off. Any othe Mac users able to reproduce these errors from a downloaded version?

Same here. All of the .jpg files are unreadable. Trying to preview herologo.jpg in the Finder actually caused it to crash (and then recover with aplomb... gotta love X). I cuolnd't get Photoshop to open them either. Pshop said it couldn't read the JPEG data.
It seems weird that this would be a StuffIt issue, though. I've never had problems with .zip files before. Could it be the installer? Any PeeCee users having this problem?

Hmm... another weirdness. You said that HD creates temp files that are sent to our default browser for previwing. My default Browser is IE, not Safari. I have checked this on my iMac and my G3 laptop. It save html output as Safari files as well.
Not a big problem really, but odd.

You mean that the exported .html files have the Safari icon on them? If so, that's just a system thing, i.e., the default app associated with the file type.

I got it now. So I just Get Info and change to "open all files of this type" with Explorer?

On the issue with the export graphics: it looks like something went wrong on my system and corrupted the files. You can get fresh copies by grabbing the current versions of the export templates from the Free Stuff section.
I'll make sure that this is fixed for the final installers.
Thanks!
Oh...and Keith: glad you like HD! ;)

You sold your POWERBOOK!?
Albert, that's one of your fixtures! HD coming out for the Mac is just retribution from the Supreme Being.

Yeah, yeah -- I wanted to keep my car, so the 'book had to go, such is the life in a fading industry. So, as of right now my primary computer is my Windows PC... and man does that hurt. I hope to return to the fold when Apple decides to make a tablet PC.
