It's time for another Champions Good Idea/Bad Idea...

Good Idea: Having a powered armor suit, whether defined as OIF or OIHID.

Bad Idea: Having no useful abilities outside of the suit.

Worse Idea: Wearing nothing underneath but your skivies the one time the bad guys manage to strip it off you.

Worse idea...Buying the armor as your character and having a Follower to ride around inside? (only truely bad if GM has good left hook or ready acess to weapons)

Good Idea: Taking 'Novice Hero' as a disad for role-playing purposes.

Bad Idea: When you're the team leader.

Worse Idea: And you're taking it at the 'total commitment' level.

Good Idea: Duplication power
Bad Idea: Having your duplicate as your Hunted.

Good Idea: Breakaway uniforms on attractive heroines
Bad Idea: Breakaway suits of powered armor

Bad idea: Forgetting to put "transparent" on it.

Good Idea: Having Powered Armor with a cool design bought OIF

Bad Idea: Having Powered ARmor with a big button marked "Eject" on the chest bought OAF

Bad Idea: Trying to aquire superpowers by the same method in real life.

Good Idea: Giving your energy projector a Vulnerability to bladed weapons.
Bad Idea: Giving your martial artist a Vulnerability to bladed weapons.

Good Idea: A Major Transform to give your foes 1d6 Unluck, defined as a magical curse.
Bad Idea: Giving this Major Transform a Side Effect of giving you 3d6 Unluck. ("But it falls in line with the Three-Fold Law!")

Good Idea: Pulling a punch against a civilian.
Bad Idea: Pulling a punch against an automaton.

Good Idea: Buying more INT
Bad Idea: Buying more INT which only affects your opponent.

Good Idea: Buying an Indirect, AE attack, defined as a meteor falling from the sky and striking your enemy.
Bad Idea: Giving it the disadvantage 'No conscious control'.

Bad Idea: Being Hunted by Dr. Destroyer on 14-

Good Idea: Buying an AE Sleep Gas attack
Bad Idea: Making it No Range without buying Personal Immunity

Good Idea: Buying a Duplication power
Bad Idea: Asking Teleios to clone you

Number 1
Good Idea: Buying a no range explosion, linked to teleportation.

Bad Idea: Exploding, and teleporting straight up.

Worse Idea: Buying tempermental and impatient for the character.

Worst Idea: Riding in an elevator with said character, on the way to a fight.


Number 2
Good Idea: Building a martial artist with gliding, linked to a flying kick maneuver.

Bad Idea: Jumping out the window of a 25 story building, gliding to the ground to deliver a 27d6 attack, to a thug.

Worse Idea: Buying side effects for the gliding, with the result being that you break your leg. You then notice the thug you just brained has 30 friends with tire irons.

Good Idea: Wearing clean underwear, before a fight.

Bad Idea: Wearing clean underwear, as part of your costume.

Worse Idea: Claiming that this is instant change to your GM.

Bad idea: Bringing food for all the players except the guy that bought life support: does not eat.
