I don't know how many of us are going to GameStorm 14 (http://www.gamestorm.org/), but I've got a bit of a problem that I'm hoping some of the Northwest people might be able to help me with.

I am running a boardgame tournament at the convention. This necessitates taking multiple copies of the game in question to the convention so that multiple games can be running simultaneously. I also have an earlier training session in the game which could lead to the same problem. Now, I usually commute to the con on the bus (a Tri-Met bus to the MAX to C-Tran which handles all bus traffic in Vancouver), but if I'm carrying three or four copies of the same boardgame it becomes a hassle.

So I'm looking at two solutions: either a room share at the convention or a reliable car ride back and forth every day. I don't know where I'm going to get either.

I have a part-time gig that has four weeks left. I'm only getting about $50 a week for it before taxes, so I can't reserve an entire room to myself without help but I can contribute in advance to someone's room in return for being allowed to crash and store my stuff.

I'm open to any rational suggestions. I will be at the GameDay tomorrow at the hotel and I am hoping someone has an idea.

It turns out that I was able to resolve my dilemma somewhat. I will be sharing a room at the hotel and getting a lift Thursday afternoon.

I hope my load is significantly lighter going home, but I still don't know how I'll get home.

I will have my cell with me, though -- I'm expecting a very important phone call this week and I made sure they had my cell number in case they can't call until Thursday or Friday.
