So I've been back at work for a little over a week now. I still can't lift much and there is still a slight bit of pain and discomfort. I'm helping out at the reception desk. I'm still on the doctor-ordered light duty, so it's about the only thing I can do. I got the schedule on Friday, a nice easy regular workweek (9:30 - 6 M-F). Monday, about lunch time, the boss hands me a new schedule and asks me to make copies. I'm making copies and stuff and just check to see ...
So, my back still hurts. Went to the doc today. He says "sometimes these things take time." It's been 10 days. So he sent me to the physical therapist. Man, do I hurt. So I'm supposed to go back on Thursday. I have physical therapy on Tuesday and Thursday. I found out that Workman's Comp is only 66% of your regular salary. Sheesh. But the good news is that our receptionist is going on vacation next week so I will be taking over on Monday! ...
So I went back for my follow up appointment today. Doc says a couple more days before I'm released to return to full duty. There is nothing at work that constitutes "light duty" so I'm back at home. I'm BORED! My back still hurts and the bottom of my foot is still tingling. I can't say I'm very impressed with the range of care. No X-Rays and no chiropractor or physical therapy. I understand this is an Occupational Health contractor but c'mon!
So I'm tragically out of hard drive space. I've got to 30GB drives that I've been running forever. I've probably got a total of 6GB free. So I moved my paging file to my secondary, moved my MP3s to the primary, uninstalled all that extra crap and freed up another GB or so. I was looking into getting a new 120GB drive, but money is pretty tight. Then one of my players offered up a 'spare' 120GB drive. SPARE!?! SWEEEET! So then I figured I would just hop into Partition ...

So I threw out my back on Tuesday morning at work. I have a Sacro-Illiac Joint Strain. I understand it's the joint (that is not supposed to move) where your spine meets your pelvis. It hurts! Wednesday was real bad. Thursday wasn't too bad, so I went for my weekly Hero fix. Been hurting pretty bad today. It's a workman's comp thing, so while I would normally do the whole chiropractor thing, the occupational health people don't like all the x-ray, physical therapy, ...
