I've missed several self set deadlines to read a book and finish a review of it. This annoys me, specifically it annoys my inner OCD. So I'm writing down the schedule publicly in hopes that I'll stick to it, or closer to it. My alarm clock broke. It stopped making noise. This saddens me. My alarm clock and I go back almost 20 years. It's a beautiful thing. It tells the time in red LED. It has an alarm clock that makes that horrible Alarm Clock Noise. It does nothing else. I got it at a Radio Shack in the misty past. . . you know, back when they were cool. And now it doesn't make that wonderfully horrible noise anymore. I have to get a new one. Somehow I doubt I will get one ...
I finally finished editing the Turakian Age review and posted it. Wanted it to go up Friday but a sudden loss of time and an accidental deletion delayed things. I did manage to start reading Ninja Hero in the interim. About halfway through the book now (short compared to TA) and should have that up tomorrow or so. Sometimes I can't decide if big thick setting books with lots of information are a good thing or a bad thing. Sometimes I wonder is not drawing a flow chart wouldn't help figure out all the convoluted relations of the various nations wouldn't help. . . So I'm sitting there reading Turakian Age, I read Villains, Vandals, And Vermin earlier in the day while stuck with a slow work day. VVV is a short bit, under 140 pages and large stat blocks make Character Books easy to read. TA is bigger, with lots of text. After a while, when reading a book to review it, my eyes cross.
