The Hero Games supplement to Tom's Blog.
In my previous post, I mentioned that I was working on a superhero setting. It's just a germ of an idea, really, nothing really fleshed out, but it's something that I would like to eventually hammer out into a full setting. It starts with a couple of inspirations. Many years ago, after the success of The Watchmen, Alan Moore came up with an idea called Twilight of the Superheroes. The idea was that it would take place a couple of decades in the future of the DC Universe, after Superman ...
Wow, has it really been four years? I'm working on something in the background, a new superhero setting. I hope it works out.
I've been asked numerous times to explain my devotion to this game system that we're here to support. "Why would you play the Hero System when you could get more players of the D20 system?" This question has come up on the Hero boards on occasion: "What is the area of a hex in sq ft?" The answer could actually be simple, except for one thing: there seems to be a disagreement about what is meant by a 2m hex. Some argue that (case a) the hex is measured from one corner to the exact opposite corner (through the "center" of the hex). Another argument (case b--and this is the position I hold) is that a 2m hex means that if I'm standing in the center of ...
