  1. Why Make Powers Even More Generic?

    They are pretty generic as they are, I know.

    Well, aside from my usual excuse of enjoying tinkering with the rules, there is the possibility that what StGrimblefig said about Characteristics would also apply to some Powers: It may end certain arguments. Unlikely, and would probably cause more, but it could happen.

  2. Why Make Everything A Power?

    Mainly to open up the black box that is at the core of the Hero System (and every other system I've encountered has one that's bigger than Hero's, aside from maybe Fudge) and tinker with it. What's the benefit of this? I won't know that until the project is done. Possibly none, possibly just greater satisfaction that the HERO System really is perfect.

    This is also closely related to the Starting With Nothing project, and many comments will be in both categories.

  4. Why Start With Nothing?

    For those that know the full history of it, the Null Character or "build from nothing" idea is simply the Incomplete Character Rules in reverse. These rules appear, in a form that attempted to make them more official-rules compatible, in Digital Hero #10.
