Aimless Wandering

Well, it actually got made, and distributed, and I bought it. Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight... the movie.

All in all, it was OK. It held true to the novel, and there was a lot done to bring out some of the more subtle aspects of some characters. On the downside, they crammed so damn much into the film it moved to quick for much of the action to make sense. I followed the plot mainly because I've read the book. My son, however, did not follow the plot as easily.

Work on Rifts Hero continues... but it seems like a proper conversion, one which is actually playable and provides a balanced campaign setting which still provides the options and variety of the original Rifts game, is really really hard.

For starters, I want to make sure that everything is at least moderately balanced against everything else. This means that all lasers should work the same, all plasma weapons should work the same, etc, but just have varying degrees of damage and payload. ...

My hosting provider recently integrated my hosting with Google Webmaster Tools. While fiddling around with them, I discovered my tlot3.net site is ranked 3 on Google for "Rifts Hero" and similar searches, and I'm getting hits from people doing these searches. Unfortunately, I have yet to actually publish any content.

This sucks.

Rifts Hero is something I've been working on for over a year now and haven't really nailed anything down to a permanent enough state ...

Well, I've decided to take a more serious stab at customizing my profile page. So far so not-so-ugly. I'm hoping to incorperate more images, but my resources are limited as I'm at work. Same they won't give me a real photo editing tool to work with... then again, I suppose I really should be working.

Every once in awhile, I'll be witness to something so profoundly stupid it will bring into question my sanity. Ultimately, after a few minutes of self doubt my existential dilemma will end with the realization that yes, an off-road vehicle should NOT DRIVE AROUND SPEED BUMPS!!!
