I still havent found a job and prospects are slim at this point. Target companies in my space are laying off or holding out, not hiring.

I have enough cash flow to survive for a few more months on the cheap, but no surplus for unexpected expenses or entertainment. The annual payment for killershrike.com is due in a couple of weeks, and I simply am not going to be able to cover it. Short of a cash influx, I'm going to have to park the url and let the site go down until I get fluid again.

So, in the hopes that the community has enough interest to help keep the site going, I've set up a PayPal account and put up a Donate page to receive donations.

If you want to help support the site, please contribute! Otherwise, if there's any content that you find particularly useful you should go thru the site and save a local copy for your future use.

I'm not sure if the powers that be would be cool w/ me asking for a donation on the public forums. I hesitated to even put it in the blogs.

I'll try putting a link to the blog post and see how that goes.

The main problem is, the site isnt static html pages, its an ASP.NET application, and I use a SQL Server 2005 database on the backend. Some of the content is static, but a lot of it, maybe most of it, isnt.

Unless your server is set up to run .NET 3.5 and SQL Server 2005 it wouldnt work.

OK guys, good news, we hit the mark! I just paid the site fees, and there will be no loss of service. We're good for the year! Amazing turnaround; you guys rock!
