The Champions of Tinseltown (GameStorm)

These characters will appear in a game I'm running at the GameStorm game convention in the Vancouver/Portland area... (this will be a work in progress for awhile.) I'll be editing this content as I work... This is a pulp game, so characters may not be exactly politically correct.
The Player Characters in the Champions of Tinseltown play actors hired to do public appearances as well known serial characters. (The studio would never risk the actors they have on contract to do these appearances... which often involve stunt work!)
Arden Page - Aviatrix!
Traveling the sky in her lovably cantankerous auto-gyro, Spiffy, Aviatrix Arden Page vanquishes evildoers with a combination of spunk, grit, and a bullwhip.
Actress: Patricia Nolan... little sister of Mary Nolan, a well-known actress of the day, struggles in her sister's ermine-lined shadow. Patty, as everyone seems to know her!, never seems to get the glamorous parts. She can't even get a role on a serial--she only gets to be Arden Page in public spectacles. Luckily, Patty is a gifted pilot and pretty mean with a bullwhip. She's the most competent of the Tinseltown Champions.
Costume: When dressed as Arden Page, Particia Nolan sports very masculine horse-riding gear. She always wears her Bullwhip, The Viper, on her hip.
Abilites: Particia has learned to fly Spiffy with a great deal of skill... and she's not a bad hand with the bullwhip either.
General Electric
Always standing up for what's strong and American and true and good for business, General Electric vanquishes foes with his G-Electric suit (trademark, patent pending).
Actor: Prof. Philo Durnbaugh. Contrary to public opinion, absent-minded professors are the first to get the pink slip when the country hits the skids. Out of a job at CalTech, Philo wandered down into Hollywood to try his hand at special effects. He quickly got a job on the General Electric serial which is imaginatively titled, General Electric (after its main character). When MetroVersal Pictures needed to find an actor that could appear as the General, the shock-headed Professor Durnbaugh was an obvious choice. In fact, he's just about the only person that can make the G-E suit work (most of the time).
Costume: General Electric wears a silver lamee version of a British World War I general's uniform. The outfit is accurate down to the gold-highlighted epaulets. In order to create the G-E bolts that the General's suit can fire in the serial, Prof. Durnbaugh has to wheel a large battery around with him wherever he goes.
Abilities: The Professor is the most intelligent of the Champions. He has extensive knowledge of electrical engineering and of physics (as it was understood in the 1930s). He does tend to get a little distracted during his appearances. (Sometimes the studio goes so far as to send a minder with him.) His G-E suit is a powerful tool. As the General, Durnbaugh uses the suit to create "geez-whiz" lights and sparks, but it could give someone a nasty shock.
Jung-O, the Beast-man of Borneo
No foe too high, no enemy too low, for Jung-O, the Beast-man of Borneo! Even the mighty cry of the Jung-O can rout his enemies!
Actor: How the nordic-looking Reiner Amundsen ever got hired to play a deeply tanned jungle-man, no one is sure. Rumors have it that he got the part as a payoff for a liaison with a MetroVersal exec's wife. Reiner would prefer, of course, to have the part in the actual serial. If he's going to have to dress up in a glorified diaper and swing around LA, he'd prefer to get a better rate. Still, there are amusements here and there. Chum-chum, the chimp he appears with, is now a chain-smoking fiend thanks to Amundsen. And swinging through the air is a great way to impress the dames.
Costume: Amundsen must smear his entire body in Texas Dirt, a silty wet mud, to prepare for public appearances. He wears an incredibly skimpy loincloth, and swings through the air with... a little help from the special effects department.
Abilities: You have to be in good shape to wear a costume like that.
Sheriff "Sixgun" Slim
"Son, looks like you're chances is somewhere between Slim... and none."
Actor: Rory Partridge is the real Sixgun Slim's aging stunt double. He loves his job and when ole MetroV asked him to take his show on the road, he was enthusiastic about it. He's always happy to take his horse, Sampson, out into public when he makes an appearance. The studio would not be happy to find that he keeps an extra pair of sixguns in his saddlebags loaded with live ammo. "'Cause you never know what kinda crazy varmint you're gonna run into in Tinseltown."
Costume: Sixgun wears a light blue long-sleeved shirt and dungarees along with a rusty and beat-up badge. Unlike a lot of cowboy heroes, Slim has a bit of an edge to him, and so he wears a black hat.
Abilites: For an old guy Rory is still pretty tough. He shoots straight, can rope 'em, and take a punch.
Mr. Tomorrow
Fighting for the Future... in the Past!
Actor: Youthful and exuberant, but not the brightest bulb on this or any other planet, Raymond Goldfisch, is a grand-nephew of Samuel Goldfisch, the all-power head of MetroVersal Pictures. Ray has used this connection to get a foothold in the industry, but is he bright enough to climb any higher? Ray appears as Mr. Tomorrow, a space-suit wearing adventurer from a nebulously defined future. One of Ray's greatest frustrations is that he can't remember the mythos of the show. Did Mr. Tomorrow defeat Mordarkus on planet Gamma-Zaton or did he defeat Gamma-Zaton on planet Mordarkus? It would be a great work if it weren't for those pimply fanatics that always harangue him. For elaborate events, Ray gets to "fly in" in Mr. Tomorrow's space ship, the Odyssey-X... or is it the X-Odyssey?
Costume: As Mr. Tomorrow, Ray dons a crimson red space suit, with a blue tinted head-bubble. Unfortunately, the bubble sometimes fogs up when he's trying to do something active. His Spark Gun doesn't fire deadly "radio bolts," as it's supposed to on the show, but it can produce a light as bright as a magnesium flare. In point of fact, it is a magnesium flare.
Abilities: Well, Ray is connected and he likes to practice with his Spark Gun, much to the annoyance of those that have to work with him.
Chum-Chum, the Chimp
Ever faithful, ever watchful. Chum-Chum will always be at Jung-O's side.
Actor: While Chum-Chum II plays the part on the Jung-O serial, Chum-Chum I spends a pleasant semi-retirement doing public appearances with actor Reiner Amundsen. This "new" Jung-O is a lot more fun than the old one. He's shown Chum-Chum the pleasures of smoking and drinking and will doubtless expose him to more debauchery. Chum-Chum "retired" because he's getting to be an adult chimp and a little too strong for his own good. He generally does what Jung-O wants him too, even if it means standing guard outside of Reiner's trailer during some sort of assignation. However, if something sufficiently exciting happens, Chum-Chum will want to check it out. And, if he's craving a cigarette, well, it's like they say, you can take the animal out of the wild...
Costume: To everyone's great relief, Chum-Chum wears a loincloth similar to Jung-O's.
Abilities: Strong & fast-moving.
