Do Gamers dream of calculating sheep?

I have seen more and more the excuse that people make for errors in posts is lack of sleep or being tired. It is actually something of an epidemic it seems as I see it everywhere in every forum I frequent or visit. It seems that everyone is lacking sleep or always tired. It is rare, or perhaps non existent, to see a post that says simply "I screwed up because I'm not good at math" or "Oops, I wasn't paying attention" or "I really need to learn the proofread before posting".

It seems that everyone would rather blame the Sandman for their mistakes rather than take some responsibility for their own incompetence or honest mistake. Which, frankly, I don't get. I mean are they going to get punished for such a heinous crime as a typo or simple math mistake and have to divert attention to the innocent lord of dreams? Are we living in a such a lack of responsibility that it just becomes a habit to not take any even for the slightest of errors or honest mistakes? I grow fearful of driving down the road these days considering how many zombies must be behind the wheel due to the epidemic of sleep deprivation.

Come on people, if you are so freaking tired all the time, turn of the monitor, step away from the keyboard, and GET SOME SLEEP! It is time for you all to wake up and take some damn responsibility. I think we'll all have no problem accepting your apology and will likely forget all about as we move on to the next entry that causes us to LOL.

To be honest, with me, yeah, it's needing sleep a lot of the time. Not that I need more than about 6 hours of it but working nights, I have a hard time putting myself to sleep when the sun is shining and the stores are opening. I do find myself juxtaposing letters but I prefer to actually change it at that time rather than trusting myself to edit it before posting.
Fatigue does make the fine-motor skills a little suspect but I have to unwind before bed or I won't be sleeping anyway. 'Sides, the neurons fire off some fun ideas when I'm fuzzy around the edges.

Anyway, that's my reason. Anyone else is just blaming their poor typing skills on an easy excuse.

I actually blame it on Tourette's of the fingers.

    And Smileys.
