Peter Cushing was the ubergeek. He played Doctor Who in two movies in the 60s, was Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars, and, through his roles in Hammer horror films, was a primary source of inspiration for the "Cleric" class in Dungeons and Dragons.

    Sorry, having watched it again, I was amused by the "most soberly" comments. I've heard other versions of how Old School wargames are played.

    Actually, to this day, there is a term: "drinking man's army". The most hardcore competition players know which armies win or lose quickly, and whose player can spend a lot of time at the bar, one way or another....
